We have been helping children learn and grow for over 40 years

Presbyterian Preschool is a developmental preschool in a non-denominational Christian atmosphere. We provide a safe, clean facility with the right mix of structure and play. Excellent student to teacher ratios. Classes are taught by two well-qualified, caring teachers with many years of experience. All denominations and faiths welcome.

Our Goals

· We strive to maintain a balanced approach with a program that combines mental, social, physical, and emotional learning.

· We include Christian concepts and Bible stories, taught with a non-denominational viewpoint.

· We provide the opportunity for preschoolers to develop healthy relationships with peers and to grow in confidence outside of their homes.

· We schedule regular field trips, holiday celebrations, and art and science projects to keep learning fun and stimulating.

· We provide opportunity for parents to learn about their children as they participate in or observe classes and receive helpful feedback from our teachers.

Preschool (3-4 year old class):

Child must be 3-years old by September 1 and fully toilet trained (no pull-ups)

Days: Tuesday & Thursday

Time: 9:00 - ll:30 a.m.

Registration Fee: $50 (non refundable) (Registration Fee is $40 if received before June 1)

Tuition: $85/month

Pre-Kindergarten (4-5 year old class):

Child must be 4-years old by September 1 and fully toilet trained (no pull-ups)

Days: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday

Time: 9:00 - ll:30 a.m.

Registration Fee: $50 (non refundable) (Registration Fee is $40 if received before June 1)

Tuition: $110/month

Daily Activities:

· Creative playtime (fine motor skills, building blocks, dress up, and more)

· Craft/story-time/science lessons

· Gym or Outdoor play

· Music-singing, instruments, rhythm games

· Snacks

Our preschool is located at First Presbyterian Church. We have a full indoor gym, an outdoor play yard, and three classrooms. If you are interested in visiting please call, 757-1053 to schedule a visit.

Our Teachers

Our teachers believe early education builds a foundation for lifelong learning, and their role as teachers is to encourage a strong beginning. Our classes are taught by two well-qualified, caring teachers with many years of experience. As a team, our teachers have worked together for over 10 years to provide an organized and creative program.

Sarah Harvey is an Idaho Falls native who has been teaching at Presbyterian Preschool since 1999. She graduated from the University of Idaho in 1979, and later obtained her teaching certificate through Idaho State University. She taught second grade at A. H. Bush Elementary School in Idaho Falls before taking 12 years off to raise her family.

Debbie Bass is a Michigan native who moved to Idaho Falls from Chicago in 1994. She studied elementary education, psychology, and Bible at Bryan College in Tennessee and Trinity College in Chicago. She has worked with children in voluntary and professional capacities for several years. Her other interests include quilting, spinning, knitting, and reading.
